- 100 = coarse
- 180 = medium fine
What grit types do you use for which filing techniques?
100 - filing away old product and thinning tips.
180 - Finishing artificial nails and preparing natural nails.
After use, it is best to tap or brush the nail file clean and disinfect it, otherwise, the existing bacteria will continue to develop. You can disinfect with Barbicide (mixed) or with alcohol. Using a spray bottle is handy; let the files dry thoroughly before storing them.
Hygiene files are adhesive files that you attach to the metal/plastic handle and remove and dispose of after use.
