PNS Files Information

There are different nail shapes:

• Square shape
• The perfect shape if you have short nails with long, narrow nail beds; this shape is less suitable for wide nail beds as it makes the nail appear stubbier.
• Squoval shape
• This nail shape is a cross between square and oval and gives your nails an elegant look.
• Round shape
• A round shape is perfect for those who want short nails, and it works especially well for people with large nail beds.
• Oval shape
• Oval nails create an elegant shape. Whether you have wide or narrow nail beds, they will make your fingers look beautiful.
• Almond shape
• Almond nails are pointed, cat-claw nails. They slim and lengthen the fingers.

What grit types exist?

• 80 = very coarse
• 100 = coarse
• 150 = medium coarse
• 180 = medium fine
• 220 = fine

What grit types do you use for which filing techniques?

80 - filing off old acrylic product
100 - filing off old product and thinning tips.
150 - filing tips, possibly finishing if your nail is too thick.
180 - finishing artificial nail
220 - finishing and natural nail

After use, it is best to tap or brush your nail file clean and disinfect it, otherwise, the present bacteria will continue to develop. You can disinfect with a hygiene spray as well as with Barbicide (mixed) or with alcohol. Using a spray bottle is convenient; let the files dry thoroughly before storing them.

Hygiene files are adhesive files that you attach to the metal handle and remove and discard after use.
